DerbySoft launches flight technology solution

Tailored to the evolving needs of global airlines and travel sellers

DerbySoft has entered the aviation tech industry with the launch of a flight technology solution that aims to link flight content between airlines and online travel agencies.

The solution, part of DerbySoft’s new flight business unit, is launching with Ryanair Holdings PLC as a direct partner, allowing DerbySoft access to Ryanair’s content aiming to help connections with DerbySoft’s OTA partners globally.

PKFare, a B2B travel marketplace which was acquired by DerbySoft in 2024, previously had a relationship with Kyte that gave it access to Ryanair content.

“DerbySoft’s entrance into the flight industry with technology designed to enhance the end-to-end customer journey furthers our goal of making the travel industry more open and interconnected,” said Ted Zhang, co-founder and CEO of DerbySoft.

“We are pleased to now offer a scalable, high-performance solution tailored to the evolving needs of airlines and travel sellers worldwide.”

Jason Sui, who co-founded PKFare, will take the reins as divisional CEO for flights at DerbySoft.

“This launch of our new flight technology solution highlights how collaboration between DerbySoft and PKFare delivers more value to our partners and brings innovation to the travel distribution space,” Sui noted.

The new solution will become part of DerbySoft’s portfolio that includes solutions for hospitality such as hospitality connectivity for business and leisure travel, property management connectivity, performance marketing, content solutions and more.

With the flight technology solution, DerbySoft aims to continue its focus on delivering value through the connection of different business lines to help streamline travel.

In March, DerbySoft restructured its executive team and in February, it acquired AI-powered Arise, a platform to help travel advisors better communicate with suppliers and to help restore hotel commissions.

Arise was named a PhocusWire Hot 25 Travel Startup for 2019.
